UNIMOG
the Unimog, we have always wanted to do the Truck class in the World Championships so when one came out of the woodwork locally, we just had to go for it...( Mr Guinness has a lot to answer for !!).

Well here we are again, another great project to get our teeth into. The Pajero that we have campaigned for the past 3 years has gone onto its new home with Colin Mercer one of the UAE drivers and is now getting ready to take on the Desert Challenge again at the end of this year.

That left a hole in the Icon Auto racing Stable...so...enter the Unimog, we have always wanted to do the Truck class in the World Championships so when one came out of the woodwork locally, we just had to go for it...( Mr Guinness has a lot to answer for !!).

The basis of the rally raid truck is a 1986 1300L 37 Unimog, ex German Military ambulance and in A very good original condition, we have been taking our time to research for as much information as we could before starting to prepare the truck for rally raid. Surprisingly the truck does not need that much done, as things like suspension etc will all be left as standard.

We have been give some excellent advice from Frank Atkinson at Atkinson-Vos in the UK and we will be converting to high speed ratios and Turbo for the engine in the next few weeks. So here to start with is the truck in its untouched form, follow the build up here online.

Nissan Pathfinder T1
Icon were approached at the start of this year by the Team David Gabis to prepare a T1 Nissan Pathfinder for them for the 2005 Desert Challenge as well as the Local UAE Rally's. Rally Car Re-built
We have been asked to rebuild David Mabbs and Brian Lightfoots rally car after there roll over at the last round of the UAE national championships... the car was not a right off but close too!!
